Holidays in Málaga (Spain) | One Year Anniversary Post

¡Holaaaaa,   Buenos Días!

I went on holiday (yippee)… From here to Málaga it’s a 2,5 hour flight and without any clouds you have a beautiful view over Spain. Málaga is located in south Spain and is surrounded by mountains and the Mediterranean Sea.

For a week we stayed in the Vik Gran Hotel Costa del Sol. The room was pretty big as the bath room. Mijas is located between the cities Fuengirola and Marbella. With its beautiful views and flowers it really was stunning. Bars, a park and some small shops surround the hotel and make it perfect for little walks in the evening. Luckily there was a city festival with music and decorations which made it even more special.

On Saturday we went to Ronda. Ronda means surrounded by mountains. To get there you have to drive up the mountains with over 360 bends (sickening potential). Arriving there is a category for itself (soooo stunning). With a local guide we visited the local bullfighting arena which is pretty damn interesting. The president of this arena (mostly the mayor) has to buy 9 bulls and 6 are fought against, but sometimes some won’t fight and so there have to be 9. On the different viewing platforms you have a beautiful view over the mountains that surround the city. And there is a bridge that is called “the new bridge” (if I remember correctly) that connects the old and new town.

Everywhere are bitter orange trees that spend shade and spread a beautiful scent. The oranges are used for marmalade in Great Britain.

Marbella is known for its people. There is also the biggest harbour Europe’s. The old town is beautiful and huge. You are constantly walking up paths and looking out for every detail (Soooo lovely). There are also some pretty benches and fountains.

Overall it was a pretty great time with lots of sun. I’m excited for future trips.
